Introduction
Opening Day at Wrigley Field: Getting There Without the Headache
Cubs Opening Day is one of Chicago's biggest traditions. Wrigleyville fills up hours before first pitch, street parking disappears by noon, and the Red Line is standing-room-only. A car service is the smartest way to get from the Loop to Wrigley Field — and back — without missing an inning.
The Route: Loop to Wrigley
Wrigley Field sits at 1060 W. Addison Street in the Lakeview neighborhood, about 8 miles north of the Loop. On a normal day, the drive takes 20-25 minutes. On Opening Day, expect 35-50 minutes.
Our drivers take Lake Shore Drive north to Irving Park Road, then cut west to Clark Street. This avoids the worst of the Addison Street congestion near the ballpark. For afternoon games, we recommend a pickup time at least 90 minutes before first pitch.
Drop-Off and Pickup Points
We drop off on Clark Street south of Addison or on Waveland Avenue behind the outfield bleachers — whichever is closer to your seats. After the game, your driver meets you at a pre-arranged spot on Seminary Avenue or Sheffield Avenue, away from the main crowd.
Why Car Service Beats the Alternatives
- No parking stress — Wrigleyville garage rates hit $60-80 on Opening Day, if you can even find a spot
- No crowded trains — the Addison Red Line stop is a crush after the final out
- Ride-share surge pricing — Uber and Lyft prices triple after games. Our rate is locked in when you book
- Tailgate flexibility — arrive early, stay late, your driver adjusts to your schedule

Chauffeur notes — Viktor, 3 years with Royal Carriage
Theater District runs to the Cadillac Palace or the Nederlander get tight during curtain — I pre-stage on Randolph rather than the State Street door because State gets blocked off by CTA buses from 7:45-8:05 PM every show night.
